Reviews and Ratings
Dambulla Rest House is a decent place for a quick stopover with its clean and comfortable ambiance. It's conveniently located near the Temple area, and the traditional Sri Lankan food is quite tasty. However, the construction work outside makes the entrance less appealing and the lack of air conditioning might be a downside for some travelers.
I had a peaceful overnight stay during heavy rains. The room was large and clean, making it comfortable despite the old building's charm. The breakfast was really good, especially the Sri Lankan menu, which added to the experience. However, the lack of hot water and no air conditioning were noticeable downsides, especially for summer stays.
I had mixed feelings about my stay at Dambulla Rest House. The rooms were decent and comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty, but the overall cleanliness and some facilities left much to be desired. While it’s close to the Golden Buddha Temple, the lack of air conditioning and the somewhat outdated decor made my stay less enjoyable.
My stay was comfortable and enjoyable, with a spacious and clean room. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the Sri Lankan menu, which I highly recommend. However, the entrance area is currently a bit of a mess due to construction work, which detracted slightly from the experience. Overall, it’s a great stopover point on the way to popular destinations like Anuradhapura and Kandy.
During my stay at the Dambulla Rest House, I found it to be decent for a short overnight visit. The cleanliness of the rooms was acceptable, and I appreciated the nice lawn outside. However, the lack of air conditioning and the somewhat dated decor were definite downsides. The location is perfect for exploring the nearby Golden Buddha Temple, making it a convenient stop for travelers heading to the Dambulla caves.
